About Wild Andes Tours

Birdwatching & Photography Tours in Peru!

A boutique birdwatching and photography tour company based in Lima, Peru.

Our Story

Peru's leading birdwatching & nature-photography operator

Wild Andes Tours creates unforgettable birdwatching and photography experiences for nature enthusiasts. We specialise in small-group birding tours, custom photography trips, and endemic-species expeditions across Peru's most spectacular ecosystems — from the coastal deserts near Lima to Andean cloud forests and the Amazon.

Whether it's a half-day trip from the capital or a multi-day expedition to Manu National Park — often called the most biodiverse place on earth — every itinerary is built around the birds and wildlife you most want to see and photograph.

The Founder

Alfredo Fernández

Alfredo founded Wild Andes in early 2023, after more than a decade guiding and organising trips and expeditions across South America. He holds a double degree in Biology and Political Studies from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, where he also developed his craft as a nature photographer.

His work has been recognised by the National Geographic Society, which awarded him a grant to research the Lomas — the remarkable fog-fed oases that bloom along Peru's Humboldt Current. That blend of scientific curiosity, field experience, and photographic eye shapes every Wild Andes tour.
