The upper cloud forest of the Manu Road at Pillahuata and Wayqecha — the endemic-rich heart of the transect. Marcapata Spinetail, Cuzco Brushfinch, Inca Wren, Rusty-fronted Canastero and Masked Fruiteater work the mossy forest and bamboo, among mountain-tanagers, quetzals and a glittering suite of hummingbirds.
