The wetlands north of Paracas — the Río Pisco river mouth, the Humedal de Pisco and the Caucato marshes, a mosaic of reedbeds, lagoons and delta. Wren-like Rushbird, Great Grebe, Plumbeous Rail, White-cheeked Pintail, waterfowl and a rich passage of migratory shorebirds work the water, with the endemic Black-necked Woodpecker, Coastal Miner, Surf Cinclodes, Slender-billed Finch and Raimondi's Yellow-Finch nearby.
