The lower Alto Mayo cloud forest at Fundo Alto Nieva, just below Abra Patricia — the endemic heart of the north. It is the reliable home of the tiny Long-whiskered Owlet and the endemic Royal Sunangel, with feeding stations where the Ochre-fronted and Rusty-tinged Antpittas come into the open, plus Speckle-chested Piculet, Johnson's Tody-Flycatcher and Rufous-vented Tapaculo.
